The update will first be available for the Galaxy S24 Series, followed by a gradual rollout to previous generations of Galaxy devices.

One UI 7 introduces a simplified, impactful, and emotive design that enhances usability and personalisation. Galaxy users can enjoy a redesigned home screen with intuitive widgets, making it easier than ever to customise their devices.

A standout feature is the Now Bar, which provides real-time updates directly on the lock screen. Users can effortlessly check their morning run progress, see what song is playing on their Galaxy Buds, and more—all without unlocking their phones.

Smarter AI Features for Enhanced Productivity and Creativity

One UI 7 is packed with AI-powered tools designed to simplify tasks and boost creativity. Here’s what users can expect:

1. AI Select: This feature intuitively recommends actions based on the context of your activity. For example, while watching a video, simply swipe the Edge Panel and use AI Select to save the video as a GIF.
2. Writing Assist: Summarise or format text effortlessly with this tool, perfect for streamlining content creation.
3. Drawing Assist: Bring your ideas to life by combining text prompts, images, or sketches into creative outputs.
4. Audio Eraser: Remove unwanted noise from videos by isolating specific sound categories, making advanced editing accessible to everyone.

Deeper Google Gemini Integration

One UI 7 takes convenience to the next level with Google Gemini integration. By long-pressing the side button, users can speak prompts to Gemini, which will pull up recommendations seamlessly. Additionally, natural language search in Settings allows users to adjust preferences using simple contextual prompts, such as “adjust brightness” or “turn on Eye Comfort Shield.”
